General information regarding the Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VBSG)

In accordance with the cooperative concept, a relationship based on partnership between the cooperative and its members is very important. Therefore, in the event of a conflict, the situation and the particular circumstances must be examined. An arbitration procedure defined by the VBSG that is bureaucratic and impersonal will not achieve the desired results. In order to achieve individual solutions, the cooperative relies on direct discussions with the respective member in order to reach agreements that satisfy all parties involved. For this reason, CAIA eG is neither willing nor obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
